All contest rules are posted at the radio station and available for viewing in the business office located at 3650 131st Avenue SE, Suite 550, Seattle, WA, 98006. Copies of the contest rules are available by mail.
Unless otherwise specified, all winners must be at least 21 years old. If any prize is won by a person under the age of 21, the winner will be disqualified and another winner will have to be drawn.
Only one winner per family (or household) within a thirty-day period of time. If a prize exceeds $100, winner must wait 90 days before winning again. No family or household may win more than 2 prizes valued at $100 or more over a 12-month period.
Subject to state laws, the contest is open to all legal residents of the United States residing in the state of Washington except employees and their families of Bellevue Radio Inc., Orca Radio, Seascape, Sandusky Newspapers, Inc. or its subsidiaries, affiliates and/or agents and contest affiliates or employees of the radio stations. US West/GTE and any other telephone employees and their immediate families are not eligible if the contest requires using the telephone to qualify and participate.
No purchase is necessary. All federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the individual winner.
All prizes will be awarded when applicable and substitutions may be made by KWJZ. Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable or cash unless specified.
KWJZ will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or sponsor. In the event of a dispute, all email entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the email account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an email account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such email account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with such email account. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an email account shall be determined by KWJZ in its sole, reasonable discretion, and KWJZ reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the contest.
By entering any contest, winners consent, without limitation and without receiving additional compensation, to the use of their names, voices, photographs and/or likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes of KWJZ and its affiliates or agents and agree to be bound by these rules. All entries to any contests remain the property of KWJZ.
If the contest is judged by KWJZ, all judges' decisions are final. KWJZ has the right to make changes in the contest order to protect the integrity of the station.
Winner acknowledgment and release forms may be necessary for release of a prize and must include winner's names, address, city, state, zip code, place of employment, date of birth, work and home telephone numbers, social security number and signature. All winners are subject to conditions outlined on the winner's release and acknowledgment forms.
If a person is deemed ineligible for acceptance of a prize, she or he will be contacted by telephone. If a winner cannot be located or does respond to claim his/her prize within 60 days after notification, the prize will be forfeited.
All prizes will be mailed unless otherwise indicated. Prizes to be picked up from KWJZ are available between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday at the KWJZ business office. All winners must show proper identification and sign a release form at the time she or he receives their prize.
Unless otherwise specified, winners have 60 days from the date the prize was won to pick up their prizes. After 60 days the prize will be forfeited.
These rules apply to all KWJZ contests. Additional rules may apply to specific contest and are explained in addendum when applicable.
